My Favourite Festivals in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has many beautiful festivals. My favourite festivals are Vesak, Christmas, ThaiPongal,  Ramadan with Iftar and sinhala tamil new year. I have celebrated all these festivals with my friends. Each festival is special with different decorations, food, and traditions. Vesak has lanterns, Christmas has gifts, and Pongal has sweet food. Ramadan brings people together to share meals. We should live together as one and respect all cultures. Learning different traditions is interesting and beautiful. All festivals bring happiness and unity to everyone.

MY JOB PLACE

  My job place is the school. Every morning, children greet me with a smile and say “Good Morning Teacher.” They show me love and respect which makes me very happy. My subject is dancing  and the students enjoy it very much. They love spending time in the dancing room. When I come to school in the morning they often say, “Today we have dancing ” That shows how excited they are. Because I cannot see them often now, they feel sad and I also feel sorry. I miss them very much, and I am proud of the time I spent teaching them. My school is not only my workplace it is a place full of love, joy and beautiful memories.

Happiness in life comes from the things around us. We should enjoy and love them. Our happiness is near us. If we think good thoughts, we can feel happy. Small things can make us happy. A smile, a kind word, or a small gift can make us feel joy. We should enjoy small things because they make life happy.
